Geez, writing it was more hard than most things are for me, for some reason, and I was really kinda nervous about it, afraid it didn't hold together coherently, that it didn't make sense, that the characterization was off, blah blah blah insecure-writer-cakes. Your kind comments mean so much to me, I can't even tell you.

Had a really busy day today and I'm kinda exhausted, so I'ma do the spngenlove recs and go to sleep. Soon, though, there will be more fannish stuff from me. Oh, I have plans.

...It's really nice. Too nice. And I'm having to use the stupid Mac that's BOLTED to the desk B| I wouldn't mind the Mac so much if I could MOVE it. But I can't B| So I have no place to my laptop except this other little desk that that's off to the side underneath a stupidly big lamp that I've hit my head against like twice now B|

It's taking a little time for me to get readjusted to this thing (I had to use Macs in high school and also for yearbook sooo. also must remember COMMAND for keyboard shortcuts, not Control >_>;) and it's like. A customized Mac. Like I'm not seeing the traditional Mac display, just something with the hotel's thing. And this isn't even full screen. Which would have been nice given how big this monitor is. Bleeeh. Keyboard is also a little weird. It's like flat little buttons and I have to actually really hit down otherwise it'll skip the letter >_>;; The caps key has issues >_>; But that's probably more from public use. I had to tell dad that the 'Backspace' key on this keyboard really was the one that was in the same spot but said 'delete' >_>;;

Also this mouse. You know how mice usually have the big wheels? Well this wheel thing is like a little itty bitty BALL and it's weird.

It's a very nice hotel but. Jeeeez. But yeah, right now wireless connection is being denied (ie, need to PAY for it) so gotta wait til Dad comes back from his meeting. They said it would be free. They lied.

We're in the Oceanview Guestroom I think. Well it looks like that anyway.

The furnishings are nice :O Really like them. Especially the pillow and the throw. The lamps are cool looking but not when I hit my head on them B| It also took us like forever to figure out how to turn them all on because only ONE was actually connected to the light switch and the others had their switches underneath the desks. WTF.

I GET TO LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT CSI YEEEEAAAAAAAAH. There's some presentation thingie down at the convention center for the families of the doctors >w>;; So got signed up for that /o/ That'll be Sunday.

Originally we were gonna go to the Keys after Miami, but now I'm not sure o_O; I think Dad changed it. /shrugs. We'll seeeee.

Well, here's that Let's Play I was talking about. Let's Play Morrowind Like A Jerk. It's pretty much crashed and burned, in all but a literal sense. Having one's save files suffer a sudden Critical Existence Failure will do that. I think my favorite act was with the four little girls that I'm PRETTY sure are Chinese >_> They had the.. ..I don't know what it's called. The thing with the two sticks and it's kinna like yo-yo only not? ...Yeah that sucks but THEY WERE AWESOME.

And the poor trapeze person. Final act, he fell twice D: But we all cheered anyway cos it was still good. And the clowns were funny even if I hate clowns.

All in all, a good performance /o/ Tomorrow we'll be driving down to Miami and I should be down at the beach >_>;; SINCE I KINNA FAILED AND DIDN'T STAY OUTSIDE WHILE HERE HAHAAAA...>___>;;;

IT WAS AWESOME! Those strobe light effects are really...whoa that's all I can say xD There wasn't as much paint stuff as I thought there would be, but I really liked it and their acts were awesome anyway 8D It was my first time seeing them and I've always wanted to, so Dad finally got tickets /o/

Tomorrow evening we'll be seeing Cirque du Solei over at Disney Village \o/ And then Friday we'll be driving down to Miami.

It gets chilly at night >.o But the weather has been nice otherwise /o/

Oh yeah, my Revereiners. I'm just going to wait until I'm home to make attempt #...8 on the forum. Got one last method to try that might work. Otherwise, I'll just go with the '08 backup :\ I'd rather lose a year's worth of posts than 4-5 years from starting over.

I'm feeling a crazy urge to make a 5.04 vid to "Wine Red" by The Hush Sound. It would be awesome. But this computer isn't really fast enough for vidding, and I don't have enough experience to make it into the kind of vid I would want from that mythologically spectacular combination.

Plus I can't decide between the original version or the Snakes on a Plane remix. ::sigh::

My crackfic is coming right along, though. I'm not doing NaNo, per se, but I decided to just try to write a little every single day. So far I've been doing about 500 words a day, which isn't bad at all, as far as consistency goes. Then when that's done I have the next chapter of Rain in the works, and also of Mouths, and also that Sweet Charity fic that was due almost half a year ago (O.O), and also more snapshots.

Sheesh. And I haven't even signed up for any ficathons lately. The challenge over at sickdean is definitely calling my name, though. I had a peek through the prompts, and they're amazing. So many that I would love to do. Must resist must resist must resist!

So I asked Relle to help me reupload the forum database. It has like 3-4 years worth of posts man >_> it's like HUGE.

Anyway, uh. This is seriously an epic story in progress. I MEAN SERIOUSLY EPIC. LIKE I STARTED WRITING EVERYTHING OUT BUT THEN NEW THINGS ARE JUST COMING OUT.

HENCE WHY I AM DUBBING THIS CURSE OF THE FORUM.

But yeah, important thing to say right now is it's taking THREE people to do this. Me, Relle, and Peo. AND WE KEEP RUNNING INTO PROBLEMS ROTFLMAO.

I will give an epic retelling of our grand misadventures once it is over. Probably tomorrow.

So I spent pretty much the past 5 hours uploading the database for the forum. It's a HUGE file and I had to split it up into like 28 separate 5 MB *.sql files and the connection here is slow and it disconnected like 5 times. But.

IT WORKED.

And I spent another half hour trying to fix all the bugs.

THEY WERE FIXED.

I actually look at the dates on the forum topics.

Have I mentioned lately that I'm kind of a big dork? If not, here is evidence.

I always have lots of tabs open in my firefox at any given time--email, MouseHunt, LJ, as well as a bunch of fics I'm half-through reading and generally one or two google docs with stories I'm working on. And I'll be browsing around and think, "Oh, I wonder what happens next in that story," and go read one of the fanfics I have open.

And every once in a while I'll think, "I wonder what happens next in..." and realize that it's one of the fics I'm currently WRITING. ::facepalm::

So yeah, I should get on that.
